Decorated Glassware
Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July! We had a good time because we were invited to the Miko's Pool Party. I was thrilled to be asked to bring the Margaritas! When I found out that they didn't have any Margarita glasses...I knew exactly what to take as a house gift! I hand painted the margarita glasses with lime design and Glass Paint Markers, called Pebeo Porcelaine. The wine goblets have a name and compacts and lipsticks for a MaryKay Lady's party! Cheap Supermarket Glassware makes a wonderful and fast gift! After painting the glasses are baked in kitchen oven to heat set! I loved they way that they turned out and the drinks were Fa-bu too! Cheers

99 Cents Grocery Bags!
These are $.99 reusable shopping bags that can be found at Publix. Acrylic paint goes on easy and than it was sealed with a brush on top coat of decoupage glue. I actually freehand paint my shopping bags and almost everything else I do. I started painting right out of college in a "personalizing" gift shop and they took so many orders that we ( the artists) couldn't keep up. There was no time for ruff drafts or patterns. Every order was quick and original free hand! It has turned out to be my best asset because it took that fear away of ruining the product! It just takes practice! So Fun and try it yourself!!!

Shipping Tag Favor
Now that it is the new year, we are already looking forward to Spring Break, Graduation and then summer. The days left at school before this time, just flys by and being ready for parties, banquets and booster events takes quiet a bit of organization. Here is a tie-on favor used for a band end of season dinner that was attached to a rose for senior moms. Be Good to your Volunteers too!

Make a Great Banner!
Want to make a long banner for a party? Try Reynolds Freezer Paper. It is 18 inches wide and has a waxed backing. The backing gives the paper some body so it stays crisp. The paper takes ink, paint and makers so long, bold statements are possibil without bleeding. If you are painting sport run-through banners; make sure you score them before the players hit them. By adding tiny slits in the center area-the paper will ripe easier and won't hold the players back!
